H121Group is a holding frame, not a monolith. Each venture has its own audience, its own economics and its own brand — and each inherits governed performance and the vet → disclose → verify model without exception. Where a venture is early, we say it's early.
AiTheBrief
AI the Brief
Responsible-AI media and education for business.
A faceless media brand that explains what AI actually changes for operators — and what it doesn't. The editorial position is deliberately anti-hype: what we won't recommend matters more than what we will, and "we haven't tested this" is always a sayable sentence.
It exists because the honest version of this subject is underserved. Affiliate or referral relationships, where they exist, are disclosed on the link layer, every time.
Stage: publishing.
Stride
Service-business systematisation.
Software for turning a service business's undocumented know-how into systems it can run on. Built in-house end to end — an adaptive AI discovery agent on a React and Cloud Run stack with Claude behind it — and taken through our own 15-point responsible-AI gate before anyone outside the team touched it.
We build it the way we'd advise a client to: governance first, pilot before scale.
Stage: controlled pilot Striking Accounts. Not yet generally available.
Striking Accounts
Finance operations, UK.
An accounting and finance practice: bookkeeping through to advisory, systematised and AI-assisted, with a chartered finance function accountable for the work. It competes above the ledger — on trust, controls and clarity rather than on price per transaction.
It's also where a lot of the portfolio's real-world workflow knowledge comes from. You learn different things about finance automation when you're the one signing off the numbers.
Stage: controlled pilot with Stride. Not yet generally available.
H121Group
The umbrella.
Governance, standards and the shared operating model — plus the AI-workflow specialisation work that sits at group level. Deliberately light: a front door, a partner hub, and the place the standard is written down.
Stage: operating.
The bench
Described by capability rather than name — a deliberate choice, consistent with how we handle privacy everywhere else.
Governance and operational resilience — MSc Operational Resilience; GRCP (recertifying); IAIP (in progress); a career in operations, risk and governance. Owns the standard, the AI-workflow specialisation and the pre-launch governance gate.
Finance — Qualified and part-qualified accountants; First-Class BSc Business & Finance; over five years across banking and automotive finance and accounting. Owns group finance and the "a qualified person decides" sign-off on anything financial.
That combination — governance depth and qualified finance depth — is the thing most automation shops can't supply, and it's why our work holds up in the workflows where being wrong is expensive.
